3 and 4 year bursaries of £14,300 per annum

Applications are invited for two Postgraduate Research Studentships in
Psychology. Candidates should have a good (at least upper second) honours
degree in psychology or a closely related discipline. A Masters level degree
that includes relevant research methods training will be a significant
advantage.
The successful applicants will receive a bursary and fees will be paid at the UK/EU level (£3,300 per year). Fees for non-UK/EU students are higher. Non-UK/EU students may apply, but would be responsible for paying top-up fees to the relevant level.
The successful applicants will undertake a three year (for ‘traditional’
route) or four-year (for ‘new route’) programme of supervised research leading
to the award of PhD. PhD students at the University of Derby without relevant
Masters level research methods training must take the ‘new route’, which
involves additional research skills modules during the first two years of the
studentship.

Postdoctoral
Research Fellow in Psychology (6 months)
Salary
£22,236 – £25,001 per annum

Applications are invited for a six-month, full-time, Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Psychology. Candidates should have a PhD in Psychology and experience with psychological data analysis and writing for publication in psychology.
The successful applicant will work on quantitative research projects where data collection is complete, to analyse data and write up papers for publication. The likely subject areas are health psychology and cognitive psychology, with projects on psychological aspects of food allergy, children’s construction play, self-management of chronic joint pain, and student exam anxiety.
A completed PhD and experience with complex data analysis and report writing is essential. Experience in one or more of the likely subject areas of the work, and experience with writing for publication in high impact psychology journals will be an advantage.
