2019 MHPN Conference 'Health psychology through the ages'
The Midlands Health Psychology Network (MHPN) is currently making plans for their 15th Annual Conference, to be held on Thursday 23rd May 2019 at the Derby Conference Centre. Our conferences are well attended by researchers, academics and students from the Midlands and beyond, and we host a day of oral presentations, poster presentations and showcases of intervention or practice.
Oral presentation: Traditional 20-minute slot to talk about your research, suitable for students/researchers who have completed a piece of research and can present findings and impact.
Poster presentation: To be displayed throughout the day with a specific time slot for presenters to stand by their posters and answer questions from delegates about their research. We will accept ‘works in progress’ in the form of a poster.
Showcasing interventions/practice: This is an opportunity to showcase an intervention that is either in prototype phase or complete, particularly digital interventions. This less traditional option will give presenters flexibility in the way they present their intervention. For example, you might get the audience to use the intervention, or you might go through the intervention journey with annotation of the theory and background behind it. You could also showcase an example of the application of health psychology in practice here. You really can be creative with this option!
Once you have decided which option is best suited to your submission, complete the relevant form below and return to firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday 20th January. **Extended to Friday 22nd February**
Abstract submission forms:
Please note that all abstracts are blinded before being reviewed. Abstracts are considered in relation to their contribution to health psychology, research design, interest to delegates, and the clarity of the abstract. The MHPN conference team then makes the final decision.
We very much welcome submissions from MSc students.
